BIOGRAPHY
Richard’s practice focuses on helping companies and individuals resolve complex disputes. He has advocated for clients in state and federal court, with experience at both the trial and appellate levels. Richard also practices alternative dispute resolution, enabling him to resolve matters for clients efficiently while not losing sight of their end goals.
He has successfully represented clients in commercial disputes involving contract and tort claims, employment cases, real estate disputes, administrative litigation, and trust and estate related matters. He has significant experience navigating sensitive trust administration issues on behalf of corporate fiduciaries.
Richard attended Northeastern University School of Law as a Public Interest Law Scholar. Prior to his litigation practice, he was an Ethics Fellow at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.
Richard lives in Lakewood, Washington, with his wife Tessa (an equine veterinarian) and their two daughters. When he is not working, Richard enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, running, and reading novels. He is originally from Kansas City and remains an avid fan of the KC Chiefs and KU Basketball.
