Ian litigates cases in state and federal courts throughout the state of Washington. Ian represents plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving insurance coverage, serious personal injury, business and commercial disputes, real property, and employment issues. Ian has experience handling all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeals. He has successfully argued and briefed numerous motions for summary judgment and obtained favorable arbitration results for clients. He is licensed to practice in all Washington state courts, Western District of Washington, Eastern District of Washington, and Ninth Circuit.
Ian is a proud lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. Following his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, Ian spent several years working for a large national insurer, working as a subrogation adjuster, liability adjuster, and liability supervisor, gaining valuable first-hand experience in the insurance industry.
Ian went on to graduate from Seattle University School of Law, magna cum laude, where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, and an Article Editor for the Seattle Journal for Social Justice.
In his free time, Ian enjoys hiking, playing basketball, and working out at the gym. He also enjoys spending quality time with his wife, young daughter, friends, and beloved spaniels. Ian and his wife recently relocated to Burien, Washington, where they enjoy exploring local restaurants and parks equipped with baby-safe swings.
