Termination and disciplinary issues arise in every workforce. These decisions are often necessary to address poor performance, employee misconduct, or reductions in force necessitated by business needs. Unfortunately, these decisions, while essential to a company’s operations, can subject employers to the risk of discrimination lawsuits and other legal claims. To limit this risk, our employment attorneys are regularly called upon to provide advance advice to employers to help mitigate legal risk while still providing employers with the flexibility to manage their workforce and take appropriate disciplinary action.
