Bill Lynn has been with GTH since 1979, and his approach has always emphasized problem-solving and efficient solutions. His primary areas of practice include land use and zoning, real estate, environmental law, and municipal law. He has provided land-use representation on Puget Sound area projects ranging from major planned communities to single-family homes from docks to marine terminals and from small non-conforming businesses to major industrial complexes. He has also represented universities, road race course developers, and operators of specialized medical facilities. Bill has significant natural resource experience and has represented clients in surface mine permitting throughout Western Washington, as well as addressing issues relating to developments in culturally sensitive areas. He has litigated a variety of matters, including those involving land use permitting and the State Environmental Policy Act.
An active member of his community, Bill has been a member of the board of directors of Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity since 2009 and he is also a longstanding supporter of the Point Defiance Zoological Society. He previously served has served on the board of the Cascade Land Conservancy and on the legal trust committee of the Building Industry Association of Washington.
Representative Matters
- Ongoing representation on all land use, utility, growth management, environmental and real estate matters relating to development of several planned communities, including one of 4700-acres approved with nearly 10,000 dwelling units.
- Represented client on State, federal and local land use, environmental matters for marine terminal in Whatcom County.
- Land use representation for large and small residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects throughout the Puget Sound area.
- Extensive surface mining, natural resources and shoreline work through Western Washington.
