Injured people have three years from the date of injury to file a legal claim or lawsuit in the state of Washington. Victims of sexual assault and abuse have a statute of limitations of 20 years from the date of the abuse prior to June 6, 2024. However, there are exceptions, and you should contact GTH to discuss these potential exceptions. Cases involving incidents of sexual abuse or assault, after June 6, 2024, do not have a statute of limitations.
