Biography

Amanda began her career at GTH as a summer associate in 2012. Before joining the firm full-time in 2013, she served as a law clerk in the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Division of the Washington Attorney General’s Office. Amanda moved abroad to Northern Ireland in 2017 with her family and was thrilled to rejoin GTH in 2020 upon their return to the Pacific Northwest.

Amanda’s practice is an expanding blend of estate planning, probate and real estate. She enjoys exploring the sometimes complex intersections among these practice areas. Amanda assists clients on estate planning matters that involve land conservation and other unique land use or real estate issues. She also has experience drafting easements, covenants, and real estate transactional documents, as well as helping clients with land use permitting and appeals.

Amanda was born in Tacoma and maintains strong ties to the South Sound community. She has served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Tacoma Arts Live and the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. She is also a past Co-Chair of Forterra’s South Sound Regional Leadership Council. Amanda’s family recently put down roots on Bainbridge Island, where they are slowly updating their “Brady Bunch” mid-century home.

When not working or volunteering, Amanda can often be found exploring local parks or biking around Bainbridge Island with her husband, their young daughter and their rescued German Shepherd.
