Real Estate Disputes

Disputes regarding interests in real property can be among the most contentious and difficult to resolve. Our attorneys have decades of experience successfully representing clients in real estate litigation, including representation in disputes arising from purchase-and-sale agreements, easements, property lines, restrictive covenants, foreclosures, fraudulent concealment, trespass, nuisance, and condemnation. Our clients include sellers and purchasers, lenders and borrowers, landlords and tenants, and plaintiffs and defendants. We have represented clients at all levels of state and federal courts, before local governments and administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution.

Landlord and Tenant Disputes

State statutes impose obligations on both commercial and residential landlords and tenants.  Municipal ordinances may also impact residential tenancies.  The lease or rental agreement between the parties usually adds additional obligations.  A tenant’s failure to meet these obligations can lead to legal action for eviction.  Such actions differ from other civil actions in that they usually must be preceded by written notice, and the procedural time frame is relatively short.  We regularly represent property managers, landlords, and occasionally tenants in these actions.
