Ian litigates cases in state and federal courts throughout the state of Washington. He successfully tried multiple cases to verdict and argued and prevailed before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ian focuses his practice on cases involving insurance coverage, serious personal injury and wrongful death, and business and commercial disputes.

He is licensed to practice in all Washington state courts, the Western District of Washington, the Eastern District of Washington, and the Ninth Circuit.

Ian is a proud lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. Following his undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, Ian spent several years working for a large national insurer, gaining valuable first-hand experience in the insurance industry. However, he eventually left his managerial job to return to law school at Seattle University School of Law. Ian graduated magna cum laude, was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, and was an Article Editor for the Seattle Journal for Social Justice. Ian and his wife, Kristal, live in Burien with their two young children, Lydia and Grant, and beloved cavaliers, Winston and Ferguson. In his free time, Ian enjoys working out, playing basketball, and reading.
